1# Should you be more afraid of your own cell phone than the cell phone tower?

You all know the word ‘nimby’: not in my backyard! No cell phone tower in my backyard! Do you also want to know what ‘Alata’ means?

2# Breaking the Wall of Space Debris around Earth

This talk will address the problem of 'space debris' in the near-Earth orbits and the legal, technical, political and economic obstacles that stand in the way of a highly necessary and concerted global solution thereto. Modern realities surrounding space faring greatly differ from those in the 50s and 60s, and if the nations of the world do not rapidly find long lasting solutions to this issue, vast areas of circum-terrestrial space will become inhospitable to further human activity. The 21st century is truly gearing up to be a 'make or break' period for mankind. Will we steer clear of the 'great filter'? In any case, a cold beer (or two) may help us cope with the rather bleak outlook we face today."

3# Why we need a “dark” web

With the once open internet rapidly decaying into a mass surveillance landscape dominated by a handful of powerful tech and state actors, it is time for an alternative: a true Dark Web.
